Marilyn Manson wade into US presidential debate

Marilyn Manson, both the band and their eponymous frontman, have never been known to mince their words, and their latest exploits are no exception.

During an interview on the red carpet of the 2009 Scream Awards in Los Angeles this past Saturday (October 18) the band waded into the US presidential debate by branding the Republican party's vice presidential candidate and Alaska governor "a whore".

When asked by one interviewer what he thought of Sarah Palin, the Double M replied:

"I haven't slept with her and I wouldn't. And I don't really care for Alaska."

When another interviewer attempted to ask a question about the horror movie awards ceremony they were attending, bassist Twiggy Ramirez chipped in:

"Sarah Palin is a whore, yeah."
