They're really SCARY to get back. It only takes a few minutes, so just
do it! First send (forward) this survey to everyone you know to see how
well he or she knows you. Second, hit 'reply' and fill this survey out

GateHouse News Service

As a comic book fan, I’m (a) excited when a superhero movie gets made, (b) thrilled when it’s good and (c) ecstatic when it’s great.

I don’t have many occasions to feel option (c), but I did last summer when I saw a screening of “The Dark Knight,” now on DVD. Building on the solid foundation of 2005’s “Batman Begins,” this movie spreads its wings (sorry) and tells an even better story. With Batman’s origin out of the way, the fun can really begin.

Of course, the fun this time around revolves around the nightmarish antics of the Joker. Only a year younger than Batman (he debuted in comics in 1940), the Joker is his perfect adversary.
While Batman is all about restoring order, the Joker is all about creating chaos. Why? For no good reason, of course. That’s part of the chaos. The weakest element of “Batman Begins” was its rather bland villains. That is definitely not a problem here.

Critics raved about (the late) Heath Ledger’s performance as The Joker, and for good reason. He’s the glue that holds this movie together, the single element that puts everything else in motion. It’s no coincidence that director Christopher Nolan opens the movie with a bank robbery orchestrated by the Joker, and as his psychotically brilliant plan unfolds (and the bodies of his associates pile up), we’re unnerved by how deranged the Joker appears to be (this isn’t Jack Nicholson’s Joker, to say nothing of Cesar Romero’s), but we can’t help but admire his twisted brilliance.

And that’s just for openers. Throughout the film, Ledger creates a character with some obviously disturbing depths, but he doesn’t reveal what’s lurking at the bottom. His ever-changing origin story is funny, but it’s creepy, too. Few things are scarier than an unknowable monster, and when the end credits roll, we know nothing more about the Joker than we did at the beginning.

But “The Dark Knight” is more than just the Joker. Christian Bale is back as Batman, along with Michael Caine (reliable butler Alfred), Morgan Freeman (loyal aide Lucius Fox) and Gary Oldman (conflicted cop Jim Gordon). They’re all excellent (though I wish Bale would drop the growl he uses as Batman), and they get fine support from newcomers Aaron Eckhart (district attorney Harvey Dent) and Maggie Gyllenhaal (Bruce Wayne’s flame Rachel Dawes, replacing Katie Holmes).

Besides Bale (and, of course, Ledger), the real star here is Nolan, who brings the same bracing intelligence and knack for filmmaking that he delivered in “Memento” and “The Prestige,” two of the best movies of the past 10 years. “The Dark Knight” has a sumptuous visual style, with Gotham painted in bold black and blue, a city threatened by darkness even in the middle of the day.

But it’s the writing that stays with you, a rare superhero script that delivers more than mere movie thrills. “The Dark Knight” (which Nolan wrote with his brother, Jonathan) is actually about something.

The movie ends on a note that’s downbeat and thrilling: Batman has to make a sacrifice for the greater good, and no one can know about it. As the credits role, he’s a villain in the eyes of everyone in Gotham and the city’s greatest hero. I have no idea what’s coming in the next Batman movie, but I can’t wait to find out.

Heart Burn

Heartburn is a painful, burning sensation in the esophagus, just under the breastbone, that occurs after eating or at night. The pain often rises in the chest and radiates to the neck and throat. Caused by the regurgitation of gastric acid into the esophagus, heartburn is the most common symptom of gastroesophageal reflux disease, also known as GERD. However, unlike occasional heartburn, GERD is a more serious condition that causes consistent heartburn for extended periods of time and often affects the quality of a person’s daily life.

Everyone experiences heartburn at some time or another, whether it’s triggered by spicy foods or eating a large meal. However, for people who suffer from GERD, heartburn occurs much more frequently—often 2 or more times a week, lasting up to 3 months or longer.
In addition to seeking medical help, changes in habit and lifestyle can also help reduce the occurrence of heartburn. Common preventative measures include:

• Avoid lying down after eating or within 2 or 3 hours of bedtime
• Elevate the head of the bed 4 to 6 inches
• Quit smoking/using tobacco products
• Eat smaller, more frequent meals
• Lose weight if overweight
• Avoid aspirin and most pain medicines (other than acetaminophen)

Avoiding the following foods may also help reduce heartburn:

• Coffee, tea and other caffeinated beverages
• Mint products, such as peppermint, spearmint, etc.
• Alcohol
• Carbonated beverages, citrus and fruit juices
• Chocolate
• Fried or fatty foods
• Tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard and vinegar
While one of the simplest treatments of heartburn/GERD is a change in lifestyle, other options range from over-the-counter antacids that neutralize stomach acid to prescribed medications that reduce acid regurgitation or block acid production. In more severe cases, surgery may be necessary to tighten the esophagus/stomach barrier.

If you’ve been experiencing consistent heartburn for an extended period of time, it’s a good idea to talk to your doctor. Take the first step to getting the help you need by filling out the Evaluation Assessment below to determine the severity of your condition and the treatment options available to you.

What in the hell?

For those who have served on jury.. this one is something to think about... Just when you think you have heard everything!!

Do you like to read a good murder mystery? Not even Law and Order would attempt to capture this mess. This is an unbelievable twist of fate!!!! ..

At the 1994 annual awards dinner given for Forensic Science, (AAFS) President Dr. Don Harper Mills astounded his audience with the legal complications of a bizarre death. Here is the story:

On March 23, 1994...... the medical examiner viewed the body of Ronald Opus, and concluded that he died from a shotgun wound to the head. Mr. Opus had jumped from the top of a ten-story building intending to commit suicide.. He left a note to the effect indicating his despondency. As he fell past the ninth floor, his life was interrupted by a shotgun blast passing through a window, which killed him instantly. Neither the shooter nor the deceased was aware that a safety net had been installed just below the eighth floor level to protect some building workers and that Ronald Opus would not have been able to complete his suicide the way he had planned.

The room on the ninth floor, where the shotgun blast emanated, was occupied by an elderly man and his wife. They were arguing vigorously and he was threatening her with a shotgun! The man was so upset that when he pulled the trigger, he completely missed his wife, and the pellets went through the window, striking Mr. Opus. When one intends to kill subject 'A' but kills
subject 'B' in the attempt, one is guilty of the murder of subject 'B.' When confronted with the murder charge, the old man and his wife were both adamant, and both said that they thought the shotgun was not loaded. The old man said it was a long-standing habit to threaten his wife with the unloaded shotgun. He had no intention to murder her. Therefore the killing of Mr. Opus appeared to be an accident; that is, assuming the gun had been accidentally loaded.

The continuing investigation turned up a witness who saw the old couple's son loading the shotgun about six weeks prior to the fatal accident.

It transpired that the old lady had cut off her son's financial support and the son, knowing the propensity of his father to use the shotgun threateningly, loaded the gun with the expectation that his father would shoot his mother.

Since the loader of the gun was aware of this, he was guilty of the murder even though he didn't actually pull the trigger. The case now becomes one of murder on the part of the son for the death of Ronald Opus.

Now comes the exquisite twist. Further investigation revealed that the son was, in fact, Ronald Opus. He had become increasingly despondent over the failure of his attempt to engineer his mother's murder. This led him to jump off the ten-story building on March 23rd, only to be killed by a shotgun blast passing through the ninth story window.

The son, Ronald Opus, had actually murdered himself. So the medical examiner closed the case as a suicide.

A true story from Associated Press

Ralph and Edna

Funny for the afternoon!

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't
mean they don't love you with all they have. Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital.

One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool. Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there. Edna promptly jumped in to save him.

She swam to the bottom and pulled him out. When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable.

When she went to tell Edna the news she said, 'Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged, since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love. I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness. The bad news is Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead.'

Edna replied, 'He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?'

Happy
Mental Health Day!

You can do your bit by remembering to send an email to an unstable
friend. I've done my part!!!

Teacher

Subject: TEACHER

After being interviewed by the school administration, the teaching prospect said,

Let me see if I've got this right:

You want me to go into that room with all those kids, correct their disruptive behavior, observe them for signs of abuse, monitor their dress habits, censor their T-shirt messages, and instill in them a love for learning.

You want me to check their backpacks for weapons, wage war on drugs and sexually transmitted diseases, and raise their sense of self esteem and personal pride.

You want me to teach them patriotism and good citizenship, sportsmanship and fair play, and how to register to vote, balance a checkbook, and apply for a job.

You want me to check their heads for lice, recognize signs of antisocial be behavior, and make sure that they all pass the state exams.

You want me to provide them with an equal education regardless of their handicaps, and communicate regularly with their parents by letter, telephone, newsletter, and report card.

You want me to do all this with a piece of chalk, a blackboard, a bulletin board, a few books, a big smile, and a starting salary that qualifies me for food stamps.

You want me to do all this and then you tell me.................

I CAN'T PRAY?

***
my personal opinions
***

In America it was once believed that no matter what religion you are, you had a right and the freedom to decided how to worship. Now those rights are being taken away. In schools, students are no longer able to pray, why is that? Because it might offend someone who does not pray? But wait, are these not the same children or teens or young adults or teachers or parents or whoever, who can sit and watch tv where they do nothing more than sell sex? Hardly any of them that complain about others praying in schools make a fuss about whats on tv.

"TV you can turn the channel if it bothers you."

This is true but can you not also turn your head when someone prays? Can you not walk away?

"Why should I have to move or change what I am doing?"

Okay, but why should you have to turn the tv channel when someone gets there head cut off or when Cindy and Jason get a little wild on tv?

Think long and hard about that and get back to me okay? I would love to hear your opinion.

In addition to the lack of tolerance that is being bred in schools today is it any wonder that we end up with such hateful and spiteful adults? Hmmm I smell hate crimes in the making.

"Why should we have to put up with other races and there beliefs we where here first!"

This statement is only true if you are Native American. Not if you are mixed, or have a third left in your blood. If you are full blooded Native American than you can say this. Truth is the settlers who was looking for refuge from the Catholic Church fist showed up looking for a piece of land they could take over and start dictating over. Oh sure they said that all is welcome, but what they did not tell the others was that as soon as they came over they had to either conform or get out. They got out and now we are over flowing with so many religions that it's no longer funny.

Anymore questions? No? Good...

So as I was saying... So you can not pray in school because what? It offends people. Right, good. So smart. So what happens if you are a member of the kind of faith, religion or whatever, where it's code, law or whatever of your church that you mush pray before a meal or at times? I guess you are just out of luck hu? Say this is the case and someone is denied the right to follow law, code or whatever, and they tell there parents who in turn raise hell with the school. Then what happens? Either that kid is allowed to worship as dictated by his or her faith, is denied that right and parents take matter to court or is given that right and other parents become irate because this child is getting the freedom to do what he or she wants.

So many outcomes. Too many to list actually. Ignorance is a key problem with this country. Now the simple solution would be to ship these kids off to there own private school right? That would work but what about the ones who come from disadvantaged homes? You know it takes money to make anything work right? Money and greed go hand in hand, and it's not hard for churches to become so greedy they destroy themselves. But like I said, there is so many outcomes to list. I really don't have the time to list all of them right now.

Separation of School and Church: Tricky! Please see section above.

Now there is something else that has been bothering me and I want to take a moment to touch on before I go. The pledge of allegiance. You know at one time it was mandatory. Times are sadly changing and so now there is a choice, you can do it or not do it. Most wont because of the words, "Under God". How silly is that? The word "God" is the same no matter how you say it. A higher power that controls all things right? The only time this is not the same is if you are Wicca or pagan or anything of the like. But it is just a word, it will not kill you to say that. Say it, that does not mean you have to believe it. See that intolerance is shinning in again.

It is so sad to see what our country has come too.

"So what about you? What do you believe in?"

I believe there is a higher power that rules over everything. I believe in balance in everything. I believe that everyone should have a right to whatever they want to believe. I believe that everyone should be able to say whatever they wish to say as long as they believe it to be tactful and educated. To me, my opinions are educated, to others they may not be. But I have a right to my opinions as do everyone else. Do I pray? Sure. Might not be like everyone else, but I pray... And not just when I need or want something either.

I have nothing more to say for now.

Daddy's chair

DADDY'S EMPTY CHAIR

A man's daughter had asked the local minister

to come and pray with her father.
When the minister arrived,

he found the man lying in bed with his head

propped up on two pillows.

An empty chair sat beside his bed.
The minister assumed that the old fellow

had been informed of his visit.
'I guess you were expecting me, he said.

'No, who are you?' said the father.
The minister told him his name and then remarked,

'I saw the empty chair and I figured you knew

I was going to show up.'

'Oh yeah, the chair,' said the bedridden man.
'Would you mind closing the door?'
Puzzled, the minister shut the door.
'I have never told anyone this,

not even my daughter,' said the man.

'But all of my life I have never

known how to pray.

At church I used to hear the pastor talk about prayer,

but it went right over my head.'

I abandoned any attempt at prayer,'

the old man continued, '

until one day four years ago, my best friend said to me,

'Johnny, prayer is just a simple matter

of having a conversation with Jesus.

Here is what I suggest.

'Sit down in a chair;

place an empty chair in front of you,
and in faith see Jesus on the chair.

It's not spooky because he promised,

'I will be with you always'.
'Then just speak to him in the same way

you're doing with me right now.'

'So, I tried it and I've liked it so much

that I do it a couple of hours every day.

I'm careful though. If my daughter saw me talking

to an empty chair, she'd either have a nervous breakdown

or send me off to the funny farm.'

The minister was deeply moved by the story and

encouraged the old man to continue on the journey.
Then he prayed with him, anointed him with oil,

and returned to the church.

Two nights later the daughter called

to tell the minister that her daddy

had died that afternoon.
Did he die in peace?' he asked.

Yes, when I left the house about two o'clock,

he called me over to his bedside,

told me he loved me and kissed me on the cheek.
When I got back from the store an hour later,

I found him .

But there was something strange about his death.

Apparently, just before Daddy died,

he leaned over and rested his head on the chair

beside the bed. What do you make of that?'

The minister wiped a tear from his eye and said,

'I wish we could all go like that.'

Just send this to four people or more,

and do not break this, please.

Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive.

I asked God for water, He gave me an ocean.*
I asked God for a flower, He gave me a garden.*
I asked God for a friend, He gave me all of YOU...
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God.

This is neat

His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog.

There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death.

The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved.

'I want to repay you,' said the nobleman. 'You saved my son's life.'

'No, I can't accept payment for what I did,' the Scottish farmer replied waving off the offer. At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel.

'Is that your son?' the nobleman asked.

'Yes,' the farmer replied proudly.

'I'll make you a deal. Let me provide him with the level of education my own son will enjoy If the lad is anything like his father, he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be proud of.' And that he did.

Farmer Fleming's son attended the very best schools and in time, graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.

Years afterward, the same nobleman's son who was saved from the bog was stricken with pneumonia.

What saved his life this time? Penicillin.

The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill .. His son's name?

Sir Winston Churchill.

Prayer for our Nation

Subject: Prayer for our Nation

Worth the few minutes it will take to read this

Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

THIS GUY SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THIS COUNTRY!

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to
seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who
call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our
spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor
and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists
and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and
called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have
polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of
expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and
called it enlightenment.. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today;
cleanse us from every sin and set us free.
Amen!'

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of
the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he
has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation
and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One
nation under God.'

If possible, please pass this prayer on to your friends. 'If you don't stand
for something, you will fall for everything.'

Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone on your e-mail
list, in less than 30 days it would be heard by the world. (It 's worth a
try!) One Nation Under God.

God is so big He can cover the whole world with his Love
and so small He can curl up inside your heart.

May your Day be blessed.

History Mystery

WOW!! This is mind- blowing! don't know who had all the time to figure this out... but wow!

History Mystery

Have a history teacher explain this----- if they can.

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head

Now it gets really weird.

Lincoln 's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln .

Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln , was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln , was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.'
Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln ' made by 'Ford.'

Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

And here's the kicker...

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe , Maryland
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

Creepy huh? Send this to as many people as you can, cause:
Hey, this is one history lesson most people probably will not mind reading!

I am a kept woman

I Am a 'Kept' Woman?

You see, there were a few times when I thought I would lose my mind,

But GOD kept me sane. (Isa. 26:3)

There were times when I thought I could go no longer,

But the LORD kept me moving. (Gen 28:15)

At times, I've wanted to lash out at those whom I felt had done me wrong,

But the LORD kept my mouth shut. (Psa. 13)

Sometimes, I think the money just isn't enough,

But GOD has helped me to keep the lights on, the water on, the car paid, the house paid, etc., (Matt. 6:25 -34)

When I thought I would fall, HE kept me up.

When I thought I was weak, HE kept me strong! (I Pet. 5:7, Matt. 11:28-30)

I could go on and on and on, but I'm sure you hear me!

I'm blessed to be 'kept.'

Are you . . . or do you know a 'kept' woman?
If so pass it on to her to let her know she is 'Kept'

This is deep

WOW this is DEEP!!!

After living what I felt was a 'decent' life, my time on earth came to the
end. The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of what
I thought to be a court house. The doors opened and I was instructed to come in and have a seat by the defense table.

As I looked around I saw the 'prosecutor.' He was a villainous looking gent who snarled as he stared at me. He definitely was the most evil person I have ever seen.

I sat down and looked to my left and there sat My Attorney, kind and
gentle looking man whose appearance seemed so familiar to me, I felt I knew
Him.

The corner door flew open and there appeared the Judge in full flowing
robes. He commanded an awesome presence as He moved across the room I couldn't take
my eyes off of Him. As He took His seat behind the bench, He said, 'Let us begin.'

The prosecutor rose and said, 'My name is Satan and I am here to show you
why this man belongs in hell.' He proceeded to tell of lies that I told, things that I stole, and In the past when I cheated others. Satan told of other horrible Perversions that were once in my life and the more he spoke, the further down in my seat I sank.

I was so embarrassed that I couldn't look at anyone, even my own Attorney,
as the Devil told of sins that even I had completely forgotten about. As upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was equally upset at My Attorney who sat there silently not offering any form of defense at all.

I know I had been guilty of those things, but I had done some good in my
life - couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I'd done? Satan finished with a fury and said, 'This man belongs in hell, he is guilty of all that I have charged and there is not a person who can prove otherwise.'

When it was His turn, My Attorney first asked if He might approach the
bench. The Judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and
beckoned Him to come forward. As He got up and started walking, I was able to see Him in His full splendor and majesty.

I realized why He seemed so familiar; this was Jesus representing me, my
Lord and my Savior. He stopped at the bench and softly said to the Judge, 'Hi, Dad,' and then He turned to address the court.

'Satan was correct in saying that this man had sinned, I won't deny any of these allegations. And, yes, the wages of sin is death, and this man deserves to be punished.' Jesus took a deep breath and turned to His Father with outstretched arms and proclaimed, 'However, I died on the cross so that this person might have eternal life and he has accepted Me as his Savior, so he is Mine.'

My Lord continued with, 'His name is written in the Book of Life, and no one
can snatch him from Me. Satan still does not understand yet. This man is not to be given justice, but rather mercy.' As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked at His Father and said, 'There is nothing else that needs to be done. I've done it all.'

The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed the gavel down. The following
words bellowed from His lips. 'This man is free. The penalty for him has already been paid in full. 'Case dismissed.' As my Lord led me away, I could hear Satan ranting and raving, 'I won't give up, I will win the next one.' I asked Jesus as He gave me my instructions where to go next, 'Have you ever lost a case?'

Christ lovingly smiled and said, 'Everyone that has come to Me and asked Me
to represent them has received the same verdict as you, ~Paid In Full~'

If you do not pass this along to 10 people immediately,
absolutely nothing will happen .

'Stop telling God how big your storm is.
Instead, tell the storm how big your God is!'

Went to a party...

WENT TO A PARTY MOM...
(READ ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM AND SIGN YOUR NAME)

I WENT TO A PARTY,
AND REMEMBERED WHAT YOU SAID.
YOU TOLD ME NOT TO DRINK, MOM,
SO I HAD A SPRITE INSTEAD.

I FELT PROUD OF MYSELF,
THE WAY YOU SAID I WOULD,
THAT I DIDN'T DRINK AND DRIVE,
THOUGH SOME FRIENDS SAID I SHOULD.

I MADE A HEALTHY CHOICE,
AND YOUR ADVICE TO ME WAS RIGHT.
THE PARTY FINALLY ENDED,
AND THE KIDS DROVE OUT OF SIGHT.

I GOT INTO MY CAR,
SURE TO GET HOME IN ONE PIECE.
I NEVER KNEW WHAT WAS COMING, MOM,
SOMETHING I EXPECTED LEAST.

NOW I'M LYING ON THE PAVEMENT,
AND I HEAR THE POLICEMAN SAY,
THE KID THAT CAUSED THIS WRECK WAS
DRUNK, MOM,
HIS VOICE SEEMS FAR AWAY.

MY OWN BLOOD'S ALL AROUND ME,
AS I TRY HARD NOT TO CRY.
I CAN HEAR THE PARAMEDIC SAY,
THIS GIRL IS GOING TO DIE.

I'M SURE THE GUY HAD NO IDEA,
WHILE HE WAS FLYING HIGH.
BECAUSE HE CHOSE TO DRINK AND DRIVE,
NOW I WOULD HAVE TO DIE.

SO WHY DO PEOPLE DO IT, MOM
KNOWING THAT IT RUINS LIVES?
AND NOW THE PAIN IS CUTTING ME,
LIKE A HUNDRED STABBING KNIVES.

TELL SISTER NOT TO BE AFRAID, MOM
TELL DADDY TO BE BRAVE.
AND WHEN I GO TO HEAVEN,
PUT 'MOMMY'S GIRL' ON MY GRAVE.

SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE TAUGHT HIM,
THAT IT'S WRONG TO DRINK AND DRIVE.
MAYBE IF HIS PARENTS HAD,
I'D STILL BE ALIVE

MY BREA TH IS GETTING SHORTER,
MOM I'M GETTING REALLY SCARED
THESE ARE MY FINAL MOMENTS,
AND I'M SO UNPREPARED.

I WISH THAT YOU COULD HOLD ME MOM,
AS I LIE HERE AND DIE.
I WISH THAT I COULD SAY, 'I LOVE YOU, MOM!'
SO I LOVE YOU AND
GOOD-BYE.

Love to 4-8 year olds

What Love means to a 4-8 year old . . ...

Slow down for three minutes to read this.
It is so worth it.
Touching words from the mouth of babes.

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8
year-olds, 'What does love mean?'

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined...
See what you think:

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her
toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'
Rebecca- age 8

'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'
Billy - age 4

'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'
Karl - age 5

'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries
without making them give you any of theirs.'
Chrissy - age 6

'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'
Terri - age 4

'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'
Danny - age 7

'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss'
Emily - age 8

'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents
and listen.'
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,'
Nikka - age 6
(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.'
Noelle - age 7

'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'
Tommy - age 6

'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'
Cindy - age 8

'My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'
Clare - age 6

'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'
Elaine-age 5

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer
than Robert Redford.'
Chris - age 7

'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.'
Mary Ann - age 4

'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'
Lauren - age 4

'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image)
Karen - age 7

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.'
Mark - age 6

'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.'
Jessica - age 8

And the final one

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,
'Nothing, I just helped him cry'

When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need. Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply say the following small prayer for the person who sent you this.

Heavenly Father, please bless all my friends in whatever it is that You know they may be needing this day! And may their life be full of Your peace, prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with You.
Amen.
